  • Jan Tschichold turns his back on everything he did and starts to put his time into classic typography

My favorite period of graphic design Bauhaus design has always influences me. Jan Tschichold and El Lissitzky are my heros in graphic communication. How they both changed graphic design in a way. Bauhaus, a school which made and impacted design forever made a movement. Which is still effects design today. As a child i never knew i loved graphic design, i just liked seeing bright diagonal typography. Knowing now where it came from, sparks a light in me to dig more into the history of Typography, Bauhaus, and modern design.

JAJA anyways I enjoyed the constructive period where El made and started an area of graphic design in which we still use today. I love how at a point elements of geometric form Lizenzy had purpose of its meaning in the poster. It's also great to see type move in 2D space, it also the designer made text pop out of you using big bold san serif letter making it clear of the revolution in which russia was taking and where the movement started. I can't wait til next week for how i would say the 2nd part of this lecture.

Stephance Mallarme a French Symbolist poet used Syntactic closure to make the visual effect more dynamic. I wish we got to experiment with typography in this fashion here at Ringling, i think it would make the students better designers and learn more about expressive typography.
